💛The Golden Years (New Years Makeup Collaboration w/ Ghost Lee) | Hannabal Marie💛

Hello ladies and gents
Aside from the gentleman look I created in a previous post HERE
I also created a flapper look inspired by New Years vintage postcards, as well.

This was an actual collaboration between me and Ghost Lee Art!
I chose to do a vintage inspired look that is supposed to represent the New Years in the past,
while he did a more modern future approach.
Together, we have the PAST & FUTURE!

"Go thou thy way and I go mine,
Apart, yet not afar;
Only a thin veil hangs between
The pathways where we are"

☙Stevie Nicks Inspired Makeup Look❧ | Hannabal Marie

The look in question. lol

Hello ladies and gents
Thought I'd do a quick little Stevie Nicks inspired look today.
You ever wake up and think to yourself;
"Hey self, I think I want to be Stevie Nicks today?"

She is so beautiful. So out-of-this-world beautiful!

Me and Stevie have a lot in common--especially those dark gorgeous eyes!

I adore this woman, so so much.

My mom loved her, so I listened to Fleetwood Mac a lot growing up.
I grew to really love Stevie as I aged. And in some way, see a bit of myself behind those brown eyes of hers.

No? Only me? Okay! lol

Juliet Is Weeping by Hannabal Marie!

Hello ladies and gents
I wanted to share with you all my latest creation.
I was trying to go for a "nun" or perhaps even a "holy mother" figure of some sort but I ended up changing everything up and settled for the ghost of Juliet.

I got the concept by listening to Tom Waits' song "Romeo Is Bleeding" thus "Juliet Is Weeping" emerged from that!
Anywho, here is the look:

It was one of those "spur of the moments" kinda things, so I only have two photos but eh, I don't like having a million different angles of the same look anyways! XD

I hope you liked it,
xoxo

The Vintage Rose Of Summer by Hannabal Marie

 Hellou ladies and gents
I have been spending too much time over at my facebook with posting and whatnot, so I kind of forgot about this blog for a while, but I had to put a stop to that.
I will be posting more here and redirecting my fans and friends from FB over to this blog instead of just posting.
So yeah, thought I'd let you guys know I'm still here...I'm still kicking it! (haha)

This post isn't anything crazy nor huge, just got some nice nude pumps and found this lovely vintage dress from a thrift shop, so I just wanted to create a look with 'em.
I also wanted to test out this nude palette I got from Ebay.
So yeah, all this just for your viewing pleasures.

Such a cute dress, I especially love the collar!
It's hard to tell from these crappy photos but it's teeny tiny little blue/green/yellow/white flowers. (Hence the post's name- also, the name I choose for this post is supposed to be a play on Tom Waits' song called "The last rose of summer" Nothing extremely clever but eh, I liked the ring to it! XD

Just some full body shots, sorry for the quality but it was night time when I decided to take pix! haha

| Dress: Vintage Dress from a thrift store in Lodi | Necklace: Peridot "Birthstone" Necklace from Ebay | Earrings: Golden
Owl Earrings from a little family owned shop in Lodi. | Wig: Curly Brown Wig from Ebay | Shoes&Tights: Cream pumps from Kmart & Retro Pinup Tights from Ebay | Belts: Felt brown belt I had for years & Chain Cross Belt I also had for many many years.

Now, onto the pumps:
Here are the pumps I mentioned. I got them at our local Kmart, because Kmart is close to home and quite frankly, I enjoy the prices! (So hush!) haha But I fell in the love with the way they looked and the color and such. I would have gotten them in Black but I own so many in Black already, I wanted to switch it up a bit with a color I have never owned. It's like a cream color, very beautiful in person...These photos simply don't do them justice!

Because I wanted to pose, I did so. For you...just for you! XD HA!

ANDDD...I also wanted to see what these pumps would look like with my lace socks. Yep, Purdy cuteeee! <3

ANYWHO:
I also did a makeup look and thus, this post should also include some up close facial shots. I delivered:

Like I said, I had a palette that was collecting dust, so I went ahead and played with some of the browns. And by "some" I mean...most of 'em..actually! haha!
The palette for your looking eyes. In case, for some odd reason, you thought I was lying! haha! Just look at 'em....look at the beautiful colors...makes ya want to lick 'em, huh? HA!

And now...we go onto my work of art...or something close to that...HA!
In this look I just went for a classic vintage beauty, with my little "heart mole" to match.

And because I didn't want to mess up my mug when I finished with my "shoot", I decided to play around with my accessories a bit. Here I am with the belt as a headpiece. I wish I owned a turban, I'd look like a bad ass future teller!

Anywho, thanks for reading and catching up and all that...jazz? Yes, Jazz! :)

Emily Possum (An Original Character Concept by Hannabal Marie)

 Hello ladies and gents
I love Jessica Rabbit. Let the record show that I do. But I have always wondered what it would be like to be her sister. To have a drop-dead gorgeous sis who got ALL the praise, ALL the glory. All around the world she is seen as a sex symbol and thus anyone else couldn't even compare.
I thought long and hard about this concept and I decided to create the complete opposite of Jessica Rabbit.
She has hair as black as a bucket of tar. Her music isn't loved by many but she truly enjoys her work. She is the type of woman you'd be scared to be left alone with down some dark alley way. She gets booed whilst canes pull her off the stage during her performances. Garbage and bottles are her only friends since people seem to throw them at her. She is just different and she just can't stand her sister.

I was inspired by an array of things. Jessica Rabbit of course and Tom Waits for a refrence of how a "bad gal" is supposed to look like. (i.e. "Hair as black as a bucket of tar/skin as white as a cuttlefish bone") and the Gothic subculture.
Why "Possum" as a last name? Well...Jessica has rabbit and the only thing that would fit this girl in a animal sense would be "Possum"....for them playing "dead" ;) haha

that is all for now.
Just made this as a character idea, might do skits with her in the future.
Stay tuned!
xoxo

Suspiria Sweet Suspiria (Contest Entry) by Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
As I already made clear in a previous post. I decided to partake in a contest made possible by Pinkstylist.
He asked of us to take two 1980s and past movies and combine them into one unique and original look. I already shown you one entry I did titled "The Phantom of the Onibaba", now here is my second and last entry that I decided to call it "Suspiria Sweet Suspiria"
As you can tell, I took inspiration from Suspiria and Alice Sweet Alice.

If you don't know anything about either movie, click on the name and have wiki explain it:

I would explain it on this post myself, but nothing beats Wiki as far as definitions are concerned. (haha)

Plus, this isn't a movie review post...this is a makeup post. and you all came to see makeups not movies.
Products that were used:
Wet N Wild- Liquid eyeliner in Black
Ebay palette (unknown name)- Blue, Red, Pink, Black, White, Brown, Light Brown, Yellow, Orange, Watermelon and Grey
Jordana- Red Lipstick
Extras-
Bloody Knife
Contacts
String for face

Here we go:

(Here is the chest details in full)

(Just a close up of the face to show detailing)

Proof of my existence!

I also did a video, like the last one, for this look. It can be seen HERE

That's all folks

Groucho Marx Character Transformation

 Hello ladies and gents
I have and always will love silent films.
The other day me and my mother were in the midst of watching "duck soup" by The Marx Brothers when I thought up an idea.
I never attempted a Groucho Marx look...this had to be fixed and FAST...
I am a HUGE lover of The Marx bros and Groucho, in particular.
So...I did just that.

If you don't know who Groucho Marx is or if you haven't seen any of his films, I feel sorry for you. You haven't seen true comedy until you've seen Groucho perform. Honestly! But anywho, if you want to know him more or if you just want some sort of back story of him, you can find info HERE!

The Products I used:
Wet N Wild- Liquid eyeliner in Black
Halloween cake makeup in Black
Mehron- Clown White face makeup
Ebay palette (unknown name)- Brown, Black, White, Yellow

Extras-
Fake Tissue Paper Roll Cigar
Suit/Tie and dress shirt
and lots of sass. (haha)

For some reason blogspot has been making my images less colored, stripping it's details into something bland and less attractive. I will soon have to find a fix for that. Until then, enjoy this and all my past unattractive images!
Anywho, here is my look:

"I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it"

"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."

"Well, Art is Art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water. And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now you tell me what you know."

I once shot a elephant in my pajamas....how he got in my pajamas is another story...

I will be doing a short film soon, titled "Love at first BITE" staring me, myself and I...and my cute baby shih tzu pup named Lily!
Stay tuned!

And have a crappy gif of Groucho and his wiggle brows!

That is all folks.

Tom Waits Inspired Makeup Look

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
It's been such a long time since I did anything worth posting, so allow me to make up the time now for you guys and girls.
I, as you are aware of on facebook and all my other social networking sites, am in LOVE with the mad genius TOM WAITS. I love everything about this man, from his music to his voice even to the way he handles himself out in a crowd.
So I thought what better way to show my respect and love than to use my gift of makeup art and construct a piece dedicated towards the odd little gin soaked boy!
The Products I used:
>Brown/Black/White/Blue Eyeshadow from Elf or my Ebay Palatte.
>Clown White face makeup
>Liquid Blk Eyeliner

The photo I used as reference:
And here is my take on him:

The neck piece is just a few of many things that remind me of him. The gears and works, an eyeball and a clock, tire tracks, broken branches and roses, pianos and notes, and crow silhouettes.

~whistlin' past the graveyard
steppin' on a crack
i'm a mean motherhubbard
papa one eyes jack~

~what you think is the sunshine
is just a twinkle in my eye
that ring around my fingers
just the 4th of july
when i get a little bit lonesome
and a tear falls from my check
theres gonna be an ocean in
the middle of the week~

that is all!
xoxo
