🎪My Doodles of October (and so on~!)🎪--Snake Woman, Lobster Boy & MORE!

Hello ladies and gents,
This post is going to be dedicated towards my arts in the month of October
(and pretty much up until now~!)

I am working on a few more concepts, some that haven't even been outlined yet
but this post is solely for the ones I've finished (or close to)!

The Progress
I always like to make sure I snap a few images of my work in progress. It always amazes me to see how it can go from this simple outline to something entirely different.

Day one: Ring

Day 2: Mindless. Just a little Jack o' Lantern inspired piece~
As I was doing those daily prompts, I was also doodling for Cult Fragrance.
We ended up doing a Carnival perfume theme for Halloween~

My weapons of mass creation~

For prompt Day 14, I decided to sketch out my puppy. I think, if memory serves me right, the word was "Fantasy"
So, I made my pup into a Princess~ Like those old fashioned fantasy tales~

THE ARTS
I want to add that the majority of these were meant to be "quick draws" from a prompt I started in October. They listed for 31 days a word that had to be drawn on each and every day~
For instance, day 4 was the prompt "Bait" where we had to draw what instantly came to mind, with little to no thought backing behind it. Hence "Quick draw!"

Some are amazing, some are "eh"...most are lacking a bit of detail. Like the hands. I hate some of my character's hands. But I couldn't spend too much time trying to "perfect" them since I'd have to do all of it, all over again, the next day. Also, if I was going to spend any amount of time on any one thing, it would be the color. For me, that is the most important. I couldn't care less about hands, in truth.
You catch my drift? lol Chaotic but so much fun~

Anywho, here are some of my artworks~!

⚙️Self Defense Jewelry by CAKRA [Rant/Review/Showcase/Try-on]⚙️

I received some packages in the mail a while back.
California has a rape rate of 37.2 since 2017.
With 100,000 inhabitants in the United States, by state--this number is very high.
(With Alabama being the worst of them all, with 116.7 climbing rate.)
But according to some statistics, it is STILL climbing daily. Probably as we even speak.
(This is not even mentioning all the other types of crime and violence happening around the world!)

Self Defense is something we hear about almost on a regular basis.
In actuality, it has become our norm to carry some form of protection.
I hear it all the time from people: "if it ever happens to me, I'll know what to do!
but when it boils down to such a time, are we really that prepared?

This is a very touchy topic for me because I've been the victim of a lot of horrible moments in my life that called for critical thinking and quick decision making. From experiences that would have ended badly, pushy individuals that couldn't take "NO" for an answer and my having to run to ensure my own safety. I can honestly tell you that never once have I been "fully prepared." Most of my experiences were spur of the moments. I felt afraid, paranoid and caught like a deer in headlights.

It's really a tactic of "Fight or Flight" in moments like these.

💛The Golden Years (New Years Makeup Collaboration w/ Ghost Lee) | Hannabal Marie💛

Hello ladies and gents
Aside from the gentleman look I created in a previous post HERE
I also created a flapper look inspired by New Years vintage postcards, as well.

This was an actual collaboration between me and Ghost Lee Art!
I chose to do a vintage inspired look that is supposed to represent the New Years in the past,
while he did a more modern future approach.
Together, we have the PAST & FUTURE!

"Go thou thy way and I go mine,
Apart, yet not afar;
Only a thin veil hangs between
The pathways where we are"

💎 The Chain And Stone Showcase & Unboxing 💎 // Hannabal Marie

All the items was sent to me for the sake of this showcase.

Hello ladies and gents
Sorry I have been absent in my posting,
I have been running around like crazy doing all sorts of things.
When I did find free time, something would pop up to take it's place. lol

But enough waiting, I am here to post a lovely unboxing
and showcase of some beautiful handmade items I was given by a lovely friend behind
The Chain And Stone!

The Chain And Stone is a place for handmade, one of a kind, jewelry.
She specializes in Wiccan jewelry but she can also do custom orders if you email her.

She has been doing this for over 6 years now. Her creations are beautiful and very inspiring.
Inspiring so much, that I had to create a full-on makeup look and outfit showcasing all her items.

She sent me a lovely little card inside the box.

I contacted her on my own request, to see if she'd like to collab/partner with me.
And she was so kind enough to send this whole box my way.

So, enough chit-chat...allow me to just show you the items in their full glory!

2018 "Stars & Stripes" 4th Of July // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
I want to create a post I can look back on and smile at.
This 4th of July was spent just enjoying life with my family.
Watching fireworks, eating food and just having a great time.

I will cut the talking down to a minimum and just showcase the photos.
They truly speak for themselves.
Also, I created a small little 6 minute video on the stuff that happened.
Nothing too extreme, but it was well worth the documentation.

This Is My Face. There Are Many Like It, But This One Is Mine...

This was just going to be a random face post because I thought it'd be funny to upload some shots right this very second.
But then I started to really look at myself in each picture...I started to have a gut feeling of some self hate growing. Like I didn't want to post these.
And that was when I realized I had to post them. I don't like having this feeling and I need to fix it asap.

I'm not dressed to my nines or decked out to my tens--this is just me..at my total and complete zero.
I have always been afraid to show off my "comfortable" self. Only because beauty standards seem to push us women (and lovely men!) into some fashion show where you MUST always look presentable. You MUST always wear your makeup. And you MUST never look a mess--but majority of my time, I am just in comfy PJs, no makeup and a messy hairdo. lol

Valentine's Day 2018 // Hannabal Marie

Treats Galore.

Hello ladies and gents
I hope everyone had an amazing Valentine's Day full of love and admiration...
I had such a lovely peaceful Vday myself.
I spent mine with my family--we went to a nice dinner, exchanged gifts, ate some candies, cuddled with our pets, watched movies and I ended my night telling the people I care about how much I love them. (my family, friends and bf)

I know how Valentine's Day seems to have quite the rep with lovers and married couples but I want to also say that Vday can be a day of appreciation and love towards those that been there since day one--family members, friends, nice neighbors and of course; the pets! hehee

I just feel so full of love and despite this hallmark occasion--I do feel pride and a sense of pleasure in celebrating this year full of respect and love towards those that matter to me. 2018 still has it's up and downs but I feel loved this year--a lot more than any other year prior.

I hope everyone had fun and all those lovely things--but please remember: This is a holiday of expressing love NOT buying red roses or those highly expensive chocolates. Things are nice when given from the heart but you should NOT feel like you HAVE to buy useless stuff in order to be loved and to feel loved. It should be expressed without a need of some price-tag.

Anywho, enough with the chit-chat--time for some photos.
As I said, I celebrated with my family.
We woke up and exchanged some gifts. Nothing too crazy, mostly candies! haha
I did receive some AMAZING stuff from my parents and brother!
Like beautiful clothes and a cute porcelain clown doll to add to my collection.
A few pieces of jewelry and thrifted finds.
I felt compelled to do something makeup/artsy related modeling my new articles of clothing--so hence the bulk in photos. lol

Anyways, time to gawk at my weirdness! :3

These were all the families gifts. I got something for everyone. hahaa

Some Old Photos I Found // Hannabal Marie

This was the very first images I took of our babu Charlie using the crappy webcam on my laptop.

Hellou ladies and gentlefish--
I was going through a few USBs and other data storing things of that nature
and stumbled onto a few images I never posted to the interwebs.

This, my dear friends, is not a good thing.
All things MUST be viewed by the general public.
And it must be done pronto otherwise my existence is in vain and all for nothing.

Also, I need space and it's either dump the crap or post for memories--so, I chose the latter of the two.

I don't recall a time-stamp, so forgive me when I say that some are old as f*ck and others are fairly new. Like last year new.
I have some stuff from holidays and some stuff from moments I wanted to snap and remember for giggles-sake....
so yeah, I hope you enjoy and tune in next time...
for when I dump a whole lot more from USBs I never checked. HA!

Thrift Store Haul--Odd Jewelry Mystery Grab Bags & More Antique Dolls // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
I bring you another thrift haul.
Like I mentioned in previous posts--I got some money from Christmas Cards that my friends and family sent me and decided to use it on some stuff.

I only ever shop at thrift stores anymore--so, it seems fit for me. lol

I really love thrifting odd things, so this was Christmas all over again.
I found some amazing little finds--mind you, these items were collected throughout the month from Jan 1st til now...every once in a while I'll pop into a thrift shop (we have a TON where I live, hence the frequent thrifting posts! lol) and I'll find something that catches my eye.
Majority of the time it will be relatively cheap--like a few dollars to maybe even some cents but a good portion of the time I have to sit back and contemplate if a item is really worth the double digits or not. lol

I don't know what is wrong with a few shops here but most of 'em have become department stores as of recently. Literally selling at the actual price-tag or even more.
I remember when Thrifted meant finding a good deal for ridiculously cheap but I don't even know anymore.

It's used items, you'd think you'd get a smaller price tag but alas,

I am just a sore purchaser who hates spending but loves finding the wares. lmfao

Anywho, here are my finds.
I hope you enjoy your stay~

Merry Christmas 2017 + A Christmas Themed Makeup Look // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2017!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are winding down from all the festivities.
I ended up spending the day with my family and pets--I took a ton of pictures of the progession and end results.
I will update with a "gift haul" for those curious--
but for now, allow me to show you how our Christmas went down.

Noel...There is Noel in Christmas but there is no "L" in Christmas. <3

Lady Krampus // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
Krampus has been a huge obsession of mine for a long time.
I personally love the more "human" approach to Sir Krampus--so, I took inspiration from that rather than some beast-like creature.
Of course, the creature is still shown in my features but I am in LOVE with the oddly creepy and rather sophisticated humanoid versions of him. Much like in Vintage Postcards or magazines.

--Now, here is my female Krampus--

Oh Deer // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
today's post was on a spur of the moment.
My mother made this glorious Christmas wreath a while ago and I instantly became obsessed and inspired to do something using it.

So, I created this little deer/fawn creature using it.

So, I hope you enjoy my little artwork and please don't judge too harshly...
It's my first time using a Green Screen.

I made the horns from paper mache and I am quite pleased with 'em. It was a last minute added feature, so being able to literally pull something outta my--yeeeeah....it'll do. It'll do.

If you look closely at the wreath my mom designed--you can see a little vintage Bambi toy hiding inside.

Like I said, it was a little extra makeup look.
Nothing special or crazy, just wanted to do something using this gorgeous wreath.
xoxo

❄️ Some Of My Christmas Crafts ❄️ // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
Tis the season for a ton of crafts and getting my hands dirty. lol

I just felt extremely inspired this year--thus, the crafting had to commence.

I decided to take some shots of my progress during the stages of building up.

Collagen Hydro Gel Gold Mask // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
This is kind of a useless post but I wanted to post it regardless.
I purchased this little face mask at Walmart a few days ago and decided to give myself a little spa day.
I wasn't going to post anything about this mask until the end results really justified any reasons I had to do so.
ALSO, I took some fun photos and thought they looked cool.
So, birds with stones here, people. lol

Mystery Pinata Halloween Box // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gentlefish
I bought a mystery Halloween Pinata Box for my brother's birthday a while back,
to sum it all down--my brother loved it so much he wanted me to post this here post.
So, here we go. lol

I just want to say that my brother LOVED it.
It was packed with a ton of candies (all of his favorites!) and the seller also included a bday present along with a ton of other goodies that I will get into as soon as I finish typing.

When my brother opened his gift, this is what greeted him. <3

DIY Halloween Projects I Have Done Throughout This Halloween Month

Hello ladies and gents
Halloween is the year I get the most creative in.
Unlike Thanksgiving or Christmas--Halloween is one holiday I tend to want to do a ton of stuff for me and mine. While the rest of the holidays lean more towards family festivities and silent traditions...Halloween is something I can do for myself and for others out loud and proud!
It's about being scared or making people scared. It's really a lovely time of the year!

I have done a few things this month I would love to show you.
From trinkets for my brother's Halloween Birthday Bash to props for Makeup looks...I think I did well for this Month of October--if I do say so myself!

Allow me to take a moment of your time to show you a bit of my month from the beginning to the end.

I picked up a lot of different crafting items for the sake of creative purposes! These markers were something I wanted to experiment with--I seen a post where someone used these to create water-colors, so I wanted to try. Fail but try. lol

🐈 Black Cat Makeup Look 🐈 by Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
Halloween is just around the corner and I have a few makeup looks I want to get done before the year is officially over.
First on the list of many to be fulfilled is one I have been wanting to do since August--The Black Cat.

I have been on a hugeeee Vintage Halloween craze as of lately, so I took some inspiration there.
Also, I just like the look of the black cat--so, you will probably see a few looks where a black cat is used or put into the look in some way, shape or form.

I hope you enjoy my makeup look,
here we go:
As what the black cat represents, I was inspired by Bad Omens--Bad luck and the sort. So, the collar piece is supposed to be a broken mirror with a smiling moon. Stripes because I love them and of course a vintage-esque feel to tie everything together.
I made the paw out of paper mache, it really made the look 10x better. hehehe
I can't get over how amazing the paw looks. It really looks like a kitty foot. hehe

The ears, my tuffs and my chin tuff is all made from painted paper. The hat is also my own creation--I wanted a hat that was fitting for a black cat~
Just a quick little chest piece--I could have done a more better detailed job but it is what it is. lol
I really love the face job I did, this look was one of those "on the spur of a moment" things.
I did a mini photoshoot in my room with my black backdrop and moon cut-out. It really screams "Halloween", huh? hehee
Happy Halloween Everyone!

 That is all.
One of many Halloween Looks I will do for Halloween.
Thanks for reading
xoxo

Halloween Thrift Haul: Stuffed Animals, Animatronics, VTG Decor & Puppets! // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents,
I have another HUGE Halloween thrift haul for the likes of you all.
I love this time of year because thrift stores tend to have all kinds of awesome vintage, old and sometimes brand-spanking new Halloween related items in stock.
I found some amazing finds that I would like you all to enjoy with me, so shall we then?

As is custom with most of my thrifting posts, I don't have a theme nor a "starting point".
I see, I grab--if it's in reasonable pricing range. lol
So, let's start with the this:

Halloween Haul: Dog Toys, Costumes, Halloween Soap and Treats! // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
Another post about my favorite time of year!

All of these goodies came from various supermarkets,
dollar stores and/or walmarts around my area.
I also took a quick stop at a few momma/poppa stores,
just for the sake of seeing their halloween goodies.

So, allow us to get into this post:

The first thing I snagged at the supermarket was this pack of sugar skull ring pops.

99 & Dollar Tree Haul: Halloween Goodies Galore // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gentlefish
Tis the season for excessive spending--at least for me.
I literally save up all my funds for this special time of spooky year.

It's important to me and mine because it's the only time of year I can purchase household items for ALL YEAR ROUND.
I am that kinda gal, people.
I sport my skeletons and bats all year.
Christmas? Santa Claus in a vampire cape.
Easter? A skull in a bunny suit.
You see, I always like to include some form of "spook" to all other holidays. lol

Anywho, this year I have found that the dollar stores are KILLING ME with all their awesome amazing and downright BADASS items.
Last year wasn't as fruitful but this year--every time I go back, I end up finding something NEW I cry about.
So, that's the reason behind all these frequent updated 99/dollar tree posts.
I buy too much in one day only to go back again the following day with another basket full.

SO. MUCH. AWESOME. STUFF.
I'm dying from all of it.
Truly dying.
So much dying.
dead.

Anywho, Let us get into this post:
