Hello ladies and gents

For the ending of the year, 

I wanted to do a few looks to honor the ending of 2018 as well as the beginning of 2019. 

Something that not only looked gorgeous but also spoke volumes to the person I am--

the weird, strange and androgynous woman I happen to be. 

I saw a few images on Instagram, as well as stumbled upon a few vintage postcards/photographs that really inspired me to create what I am about to show you all today.

This is what inspired me to do a male look for New Years.  

Mainly was inspired to recreate this same exact hat.
It was an ingenious idea and I needed to have one of my own! 

I fell in love with this little postcard cartoon sketch. So, I recreated this scene in a photo.
I might actually recreate it completely in the future. Just for the thrill of it. lol

Another shot that was in my reference folder on my laptop. 

And lastly, this shot inspired me with doing the same thing.
But MY spin was dressing as a man and doing this with heels on. (hence the photo I took!)

Mystery Boxes have been something that has been going around quite frequently.
With the wide array of selections, it's hard to choose one that will fit to all your dark and GORE-gous needs.

that is, until I stumbled onto this Mystery Box from Le Noir Bazaar! 

 For around $25 dollars, you get one huge (and quite heavy, by my own experience!) box of goodies that should, as the website states, be a total of more than $50 dollars worth of items for your buck.
All full of dark, alternative, Gothic and witchy items that will fit your style (and lifestyle) to a perfect and complete "T."

Their monthly mystery boxes include a hand-picked selection of at least five spooky, witchy, & bohemian jewelry, accessories, bath products & more to your doorstep. 

Every box is at random, so you will never end up with the same one someone else will get. 

*hence the Mystery Box aspect of this beautiful thing!*

I want to also address the actual box itself!
It's so beautiful and well detailed! I am actually going to keep all my goodies inside it as a keepsake!

 Hello ladies and gents

I love Jessica Rabbit. Let the record show that I do. But I have always wondered what it would be like to be her sister. To have a drop-dead gorgeous sis who got ALL the praise, ALL the glory. All around the world she is seen as a sex symbol and thus anyone else couldn't even compare. 

I thought long and hard about this concept and I decided to create the complete opposite of Jessica Rabbit. 

She has hair as black as a bucket of tar. Her music isn't loved by many but she truly enjoys her work. She is the type of woman you'd be scared to be left alone with down some dark alley way. She gets booed whilst canes pull her off the stage during her performances. Garbage and bottles are her only friends since people seem to throw them at her. She is just different and she just can't stand her sister. 

 

I was inspired by an array of things. Jessica Rabbit of course and Tom Waits for a refrence of how a "bad gal" is supposed to look like. (i.e. "Hair as black as a bucket of tar/skin as white as a cuttlefish bone") and the Gothic subculture.

Why "Possum" as a last name? Well...Jessica has rabbit and the only thing that would fit this girl in a animal sense would be "Possum"....for them playing "dead" ;) haha

that is all for now. 

Just made this as a character idea, might do skits with her in the future.
