💀Spirit Halloween, Big Lots & Home Depot--2020 Halloween!💀

The pumpkin suit jacket thing was especially dazzling.

Hello ladies and gents, I have another Halloween themed post for you all.
I couldn't possibly let Halloween 2020 slip by without taking a journey to these few places before they close down completely. Especially Spirit Halloween, among the few mentioned here. Honestly, the last two were just down the same path back home, so I thought;"Why Not?" lol

This is just going to be a peek into the store, to show you what they had to offer this year. Just to experience what everyone else got to witness weeks ago. (haha) I couldn't make any purchases, price tags were just too high for me to commit. What I CAN do is pretend I bought everything in these photos, though--so, there's that! lol

HALLOWEEN DIY: Sam Doll from Trick R Treat

 Hello ladies and gents,
Today's post is about one (of the many many crafts for Halloween! lol) that I took up during my HallowQuarantine.
I made 3 different Sam dolls with my mother (Smile & Stitches on Instagram!) for her to sale. I'm happy to announce that she sold ALL 3 OF THEM! That just amazes me, to know that someone out in the world has my little paintwork propped up in their homes. That melts my heart so much!

I'm not gonna lie, painting Sam's face was actually pretty fun. A bit exhausting after the third attempt but each one is so unique. Different from each other!

🎃HALLOWEEN AT BIG LOTS🎃

Hello, just continuing this trend of posting stuff I forgot to post until much later in the month. lol
A while back, we visited Big Lots, just to see the new stuff they had on the shelves. Not really going to make any purchases, due to just not having enough in our pocket to do so at the moment, but we did end up getting a small little pumpkin light we found sitting by his lonesome for a few coins.
This was the week everything FIRST started showing up on the shelves. (yep, THAT long ago!)
Everything was fresh & new. It was so wholesome to see the stocked shelves for Halloween in mid Sept. It made my little dark heart flutter with joy!
I guess it's safe to say Halloween is practically here now. Autumn sure is my favorite time of year--too bad it doesn't feel like Autumn. Feels like a mild Summer, in my opinion! lol

Getting off topic, just wanted to chat a bit before you gawked at the post. No one ever talks anymore. It's just a fast-paced world of give and take, isn't it? Nothing human nowadays. Just click, post, respond, robotic answered text....Have have you been? How is life? How's the kids? Pets? Is mum good? Well? Good! I love you, too!

Anywho, time to give you what you've came to peek at. I'll miss you.

99 CENT STORE & DOLLAR TREE GALORE--Checking out ALL the penny stores for Halloweeny goods!

Hello ladies and gents,
I thought it would be an awesome idea to check all my local penny stores for Halloween goodies. When I mean "all" I actually mean every. single. store accessible in my location. You see, we have about 2 99 Cent Stores & 2 Dollar Trees in my general direction. Normally, we'd pick one and be happy for the whole year--but this year, we thought we'd try them all. Hey now, I know this isn't a big deal for the lot of you guyts but it's a HUGE deal for me! So, pretend to be impressed! hahaa

I took the liberty of taking some shots of the goodies we had available at the stores. Nothing like coming back to old posts years after to remember the fun stuff I passed because I wanted something else instead of it. hahaa

Quick Clown Costume, Whirl-o Fortune Spinner Game & MORE--99 Cent Store & A quick Thrift Trip!

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog.
I hope spooky szn has been going great for you. I'm a little late in posting because life has been quite chaotic but I could never ever miss spooky szn!

Today I went to the 99 cent store and grabbed a few goodies I thought was cute.
Stuff I could add into my small growing collection & other things.
I have a TON of projects in the works. A few I have already finished *yet to be seen here, just wait!* and a few more I am starting on as we speak.

So, without further delay...let's get into the spookiness~

As is the custom every year--Vintage Halloween is always abundant. I grabbed a few goodies before anyone else snagged them up! *they always sell so damn fast!*

I seen this little Whirl-o Fortune Telling Game sitting all by itself, and knew I had to own it.
The style is definitely Vintage Halloween. Which is what I loved so much.

💚Wicked Witch Makeup Look by Hannabal Marie💚

Hello ladies and gents,
The WITCH is back! I decided to transform into my real self for October.
So pray tell, my pretty...is the wicked witch 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 dead?

In the life of a Witch, there is no "after" in the "ever after." There is no "happily." In the story of a Witch, there is no afterword. Of that part that is beyond the life story...beyond the story of her life, there is--alas--(or perhaps thank mercy!!) no telling. She was dead. Dead and gone. All that was left of her was the carapace of her reputation for malice. I am her malice. Fury. Passion & betrayal. I am the essence of her, whispered from the womb of her tomb. The ash birthed a creature even death couldn't condemn.

This has been an ongoing joke with a lot of people I used to know. Them calling me the "wicked witch" as some form of insult. So, today I wanted to make her come to life. Dress myself up as the very words and make her my own! I think me and the wicked witch have a lot in common.

🎃 Happy Halloween 2019 🎃

 Hello ladies and gents,
Today I am finally getting my Halloween post...posted. lmfao
I could give you an assorted variety of reasons why I've been late to post this but truly,
it will not do anything but cause me to waste more of your precious time reading this darn thing. lmfao I think the best coarse of action would be to simply give you what you've come to see--Halloween tricks and treats~!
Google had a cute little banner for Halloween, too~
~SAMHAIN ON SOCIAL MEDIA~
On the day of Halloween, I took to the internet. I know that some people have a bittersweet relationship with social media (and the internet, in general) but I really do love it!! I love how it can connect like-minded people together from all over the globe. I also happen to love to see what other people do on such a glorious holiday such as this. From Google Search Engines to Facebook friend posts~ I love it all! Here are some of the highlights from the internet (as well as some stuff I did in the month of October, too!) If you don't follow me on any of my social networks then this will be new to you but if you do--let's rekindle that old Halloween feeling together~
Here is a screenshot of our local newspaper's Instagram! I made front cover...err...front post? lol

My dog when we brought in the bundle. lol

🎃Last Halloween Haul of 2019🎃--Dog Costume, Glow In The Dark Fingers & Dollies

Hello ladies and gents,
Sorry for the absence, I've been extremely busy with life. (Such is life, right? lol)
I have SO MANY posts to blog about but I think I should finish up the Halloween stuff I started with last year. (It's been THAT long, I know! Eek!)
We went into pretty much every store, looking for last minute trinkets. This was Pet Smart.

This is the LAST of my Halloween hauls of 2019.
Now, I can't say I won't find anything new in the upcoming days with Thrift stores being so random with their contents...but the following items were the last I picked up in the month of October, before Halloween. The themed things during the season, so to speak.

They wanted all their costumes for a pretty damn penny, so we left with a few dog cookies and these photos. lol

Anyways, I will talk in each photo--
as I am sure you are all aware from my previous posts in the past.
So, let us get to the goods~

Halloween Treats Review--Pumpkin Delights, Caramel Apple Oatmeal Creme Pies & A Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

Happy Halloween~

Hello ladies and gents
I am bringing you a review on two Halloween/Harvest themed treats...
as well as, the infamous Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
everyone has been bragging about since the dawn of the internet life.
The opinions are coming straight out of the mouth of a goth, for over 10+ years.
Not that it should matter, but it gives a bit of zest to this post, am I right? lol

It's no laughing joke with some people. When you mutter the words "Pumpkin Spice Latte" in your native tongue, they'll chew you up and spit you out. Some folk have a zero tolerance for the stuff. Understandably so--if they happen to dislike the taste but recently, while I was looking at a display of them bottled up in my grocery store. Thinking "WOW. Starbucks Lattes are here! WHY?" I encountered two ladies. I overheard one of the girls talking in disgust about them to which her friend asked "why?" and the answered made me decide on my own purchase of one to try. She didn't mutter she hated the texture or the taste. It wasn't because of some huge political stance on the stuff. She hated Pumpkin Spice Lattes and she "didn't know why. She just did!!"

No real reason--probably from listening to everyone else hating them in turn made her hate them, too.
She didn't know why she did but she felt she had to since the drink is usually seen as a disgusting thing among non-drinkers. If you drank it and enjoyed it, you'd be seen as the few they joke about thus putting yourself into that category. It made me question why I hated it, as well. I didn't. I never tried it, I can't form a conclusion if I never tried it. I just, like the girl, felt a need to never try a sip because I was accustom to everyone else's opinion. And that is why we are here today--to try and form our OWN opinion on the drink. (as well as try out some little Halloween treats along the way!)

Sorry for the long introduction, it would be pointless to just post without giving some backstory.
I'll save the latte review for last, since it will probably be the most detailed. But enough chatting--time to indulge~

👁️"Call Me On The Ouija..." Skull Ouija Board Look by Hannabal Marie👁️

Call Me On The Ouija Board, Baby~
Hello ladies and gents,
Today I am posting about my latest makeup look and thrift find--
The Ouija Board Inspired "Sugar Skull"
Or in better words:
Just some quick makeup experimentation to get me into the Halloween spirits.

Also, this was a concept I doodled in notebooks my whole life--
I just wanted to make it an actual "art piece" by bringing it to life!

I will admit, there is a lot I could have done better
but the joys of makeup is being able to recreate later on, right? :)

Anywho, here she is:

HALLOWEEN Rite-aid & Walmart Walkthrough--VTG signs, Banjo Swingin' Bone Daddy, Cursed Baby Doll Heads & More~ (+Tiny Haul)

"Welcome Ghouls"

Hello boils and ghouls,
another haul for another day~
I think this may be the last of the trips to most of these stores--
since I doubt there will be anything "new" added to what I've already seen.
If anything at all, I might just snag what I see left-over within the weeks or if I ever return to these selected places for necessities. (and end up finding something I don't already own and need! lol)

But this post is to tie up all the cool things in one bundle.
We went to Riteaid and returned to Walmart for a few more items we couldn't get last time.

You already know the drill, allow me to just show and tell~

🎃Another Halloween Haul 2019--99 Cent Store & Smart n Final🎃

I'm lost in the mask aisle again! lol

Hello boils and ghouls,
Another haul for the season--
I ended up getting a few more items to add in my life.

Honestly, this is the only time of year I like to stock up on some household items--
like makeup, decor pieces, scary things to add into my wardrobe, etc.
I say it every year but it holds truth--Halloween is everyday for me.

I took some images throughout the day, included some eventual things for future me to remember.
But most importantly, I included some Halloween aisle fun! lol
TON of stuff, despite most of everything from the last couple of trips have already been sold.
Mostly the makeup has been reduced to a few grabs, but I ended up nabbing a few trinkets to stash away.

Enough of this chit-chat, allow me to show the photos already~

☻JUNJI ITO'S BLACKBIRD by Hannabal Marie☻

Hello ladies and gents,
Another inspired Junji Ito look--Blackbird.
One of my personal favorite characters.
So, I wanted to make sure I did her justice.

Blackbird was one of the first stories I ever read from Junji Ito.
Someone made an insult about how I resembled the character when I smiled--so, being the curious cat I was, I looked into it.
Despite the insult, I took it more as a flattering compliment.
I became obsessed with her.
The way she looked and how she was so creepy without needing
anything other than her wide smile.

I have wanted to attempt a look based on her but never got around to doing so.
With so many positive comments on the others I've done, I thought I'd bring Blackbird to life now.
Enough chatting--
allow me to show you what I've done.

🎪Captain Spaulding Inspired Makeup Look by Hannabal Marie🎪

 My inspired Capt. look~
"Howdy there, ladies and gents--freaks and geeks of all ages~
Are ya tired of life? Depressed? Does your minimum wage job get ya down?
Maybe your mama is pissed off that you left her basement door wide open for her favorite dog to shit in. It's easy Jimmy, after you wank one off down there playin' your D&D and Minecraft--you oughta make sure to close that damn door, ya dipshit! Now that ain't too much to ask, is it?
Well, if a firm hand of the law don't scare ya...
Maybe a trip to see my famous murder ride will.
You like blood? You like guts? Does violence get ya off?
Then you oughta take a peek at Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Mad-Men.
We got fish boy, girls who could use a good shave--
Mermaids who'll rip your balls off by the teeth and still born babies stuffed in glass jars.
We got 'em all down here--so you come and visit, ya hear? And while you're at it--take home your mama some of my tasty fried chicken! Just say fuck it and grab yourself a bucket~ Bock Bock!"

Longs & Walmart Halloween Hunting Continues + Mini Haul #3 [Jack Skeleton Pet Toys, Bat Clips & Witch Hats!]

They only had one full and a half aisle of Halloween goodness.
Hello ladies and gentlefish,
Another post, another day.
This post should come as no surprise--it's that beautiful time of the year again.
I'm trying to make sure I hit every local spot before Halloween shows it's spooky face.
I really want that life-sized skeleton! So so so so badly!
Nothing upsets me more than missing out on the scary spoopy decorations.
I've missed a lot last year, so this year--I ain't missing a heartbeat~
This time, we checked out our local Longs Drug Store
because we had to pick up a prescription anyways.
So, killing birds with stones here. lmfao

🦞 ZAPP'S CHIPS: Voodoo Heat & Cajun Dill Gator-Tators Review🦞

The contenders! lol
Hello ladies and gentlefish,
A while back I went Halloween shopping at my local Dollar Tree.
Upon looking through the decorations, they also had a huge display of these chips.

I've been the occasional fan of their original Voodoo chips from time to time, so I was pretty stoked to find these two flavors at my local dollar tree. In truth, I don't think I've ever seen these two available anywhere else but Amazon. So, when I seen them--I had to get them.

These two bags were about a standard snack bag size, ones you'd give your children in their school lunches. A bit smaller than the normal Voodoo Chip bags I bought in the past. It worked perfectly for me, considering the fact--if I didn't like one, I wouldn't feel so bad for wasting the bag. Or the opposite, if I ended up loving them--I wouldn't feel badly about finishing it whole. lmfao

The bags came with about a handful and a half of chips each.
I should know, I measured by putting them in a bowl to see. lol
I didn't get to snap any photos of the actual chips or how they looked, but they looked like a standard kettle style chip. The Voodoo Heat was slightly "orange" in color compared to the Gator-Tators, which were white in contrast. But the color selection isn't important, the taste is.
Which is why I will break it down, a bag at a time.

🎃Dollar Tree Halloween Stuff [A Look Around+Mini Haul)🎃

First glimpse of inside the Halloween Aisle.
Hello ladies and gentlefish
Another lovely post about my favorite time of year.
Quite honestly, if walkthroughs and showcases aren't your thing--forgive me
but there will be LOADS more of these posts until the season ends.

I'm not much of a Christmas person nor am I some sentimental Valentine but when it comes to Halloween--I feel like a kid in a candy store...quite literally. lol

I haven't been to my local Dollar Tree in a very long time.
So, I felt compelled to see what they had to offer for this spooky season.
(If they had anything at all.)
And I felt like Jack when he stumbled on Christmas Time.
"What's this? What's THIS?"
I could explain what I seen in bold text but I'd much rather you witness it yourself.
Allow me to just show and tale~
Tons of costumes have graced the shelves. Loads upon loads of Unicorn related things. Who says fantasy is dead? lol

👻Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark [The Dream + A Secret Surprise?]👻

Hello ladies and gents,
A while back, me and The Cannibal Carnival decided to come together
and create a mini "Flip Book Animation" for my reading of
The Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark--The Dream

Everything was done with a few pages of computer paper and a ballpoint ink pen.
Nothing fancy, nothing extreme. Just a casual set of doodles that turned into a wonderful work of visual art, if I do say so myself. Especially considering the fact we did this all in a single day--no script. No set out plan. Just spontaneous minds coming together to create something on a whim.

🧡🖤BIG LOTS Halloween Sneak Peeks of 2019🧡🖤

Hello ladies and gents
It is almost that time of year again.
When bats hang from castle entrance-ways, smiling jack-o-lanterns glow under dead trees...
Skeletons skip rope with the intestines of zombies....you get the picture.
One of my personal favorite holidays--Halloween.

I know a lot of people LOATHE my Halloween walk-throughs and store sneak peeks but I can't help myself. When I see the spooky, I gotta post the spooky.

If you don't like this kind of content, I'm sorry.
I will give you some time to click out of this post.
(Hades forbid you read something against your will...)
Goodbye, my dear friend. On the count of three.
Uh 1.....Uh 2......Uh 3.....
