🎃HALLOWEEN AT BIG LOTS🎃

Hello, just continuing this trend of posting stuff I forgot to post until much later in the month. lol
A while back, we visited Big Lots, just to see the new stuff they had on the shelves. Not really going to make any purchases, due to just not having enough in our pocket to do so at the moment, but we did end up getting a small little pumpkin light we found sitting by his lonesome for a few coins.
This was the week everything FIRST started showing up on the shelves. (yep, THAT long ago!)
Everything was fresh & new. It was so wholesome to see the stocked shelves for Halloween in mid Sept. It made my little dark heart flutter with joy!
I guess it's safe to say Halloween is practically here now. Autumn sure is my favorite time of year--too bad it doesn't feel like Autumn. Feels like a mild Summer, in my opinion! lol

Getting off topic, just wanted to chat a bit before you gawked at the post. No one ever talks anymore. It's just a fast-paced world of give and take, isn't it? Nothing human nowadays. Just click, post, respond, robotic answered text....Have have you been? How is life? How's the kids? Pets? Is mum good? Well? Good! I love you, too!

Anywho, time to give you what you've came to peek at. I'll miss you.

🎪My Doodles of October (and so on~!)🎪--Snake Woman, Lobster Boy & MORE!

Hello ladies and gents,
This post is going to be dedicated towards my arts in the month of October
(and pretty much up until now~!)

I am working on a few more concepts, some that haven't even been outlined yet
but this post is solely for the ones I've finished (or close to)!

The Progress
I always like to make sure I snap a few images of my work in progress. It always amazes me to see how it can go from this simple outline to something entirely different.

Day one: Ring

Day 2: Mindless. Just a little Jack o' Lantern inspired piece~
As I was doing those daily prompts, I was also doodling for Cult Fragrance.
We ended up doing a Carnival perfume theme for Halloween~

My weapons of mass creation~

For prompt Day 14, I decided to sketch out my puppy. I think, if memory serves me right, the word was "Fantasy"
So, I made my pup into a Princess~ Like those old fashioned fantasy tales~

THE ARTS
I want to add that the majority of these were meant to be "quick draws" from a prompt I started in October. They listed for 31 days a word that had to be drawn on each and every day~
For instance, day 4 was the prompt "Bait" where we had to draw what instantly came to mind, with little to no thought backing behind it. Hence "Quick draw!"

Some are amazing, some are "eh"...most are lacking a bit of detail. Like the hands. I hate some of my character's hands. But I couldn't spend too much time trying to "perfect" them since I'd have to do all of it, all over again, the next day. Also, if I was going to spend any amount of time on any one thing, it would be the color. For me, that is the most important. I couldn't care less about hands, in truth.
You catch my drift? lol Chaotic but so much fun~

Anywho, here are some of my artworks~!

Hello ladies and gents,
I know I said I was done hauling Halloween wares
but my heart is forever engulfed in the Ween of Hallow.
Especially old vintage items that I can't quite pass up.
My dog when we brought in the bundle. lol
Today I have a lovely post full of wondrous little Halloween trinkets and thingies!
In this lot I have a little bit from everywhere--Gemmy (which are my favorites among favorites
when it comes to Halloween trinkets!!), Mr. Christmas (A brand I never heard before until now!) and an inflatable from Chrisha Creations! (Another brand I never knew existed until now!)

🎃🍂Autumnal Carnival Collection 2019🍂🎃--SNAKE WOMAN, GLUTTON & GLITTER BEARD LADY PERFUME OILS!

Hello boils and ghouls, I have quite the treat for you all today.
Cult Fragrance x The Cannibal Carnival has come together again to create another collection.
Unlike the few before, this one is very close to my heart--

⭐The Autumnal Carnival Collection
"Step right up! The freaks are just DYING to eat...I mean MEET you!
Experience each act! Thrill your senses! Bring out your inner freak!
Stand out from the crowd & smell good enough to EAT~!"
I am going to be showing you each bottle, explaining in further detail and giving you my take on the scents. What they smell like, how they work on my skin and how long they last. You must understand, these scents are no ordinary perfume. Each bottle is a different "act" in the carnival. Each important yet so very different. Alone, they are a spectacle to experience but together they will entice you to return and keep returning back to the carnival. One whiff and you're under the spell...I just hope you don't mind to loose...your mind~

🖤Andromeda's Curse--Perfume Oils For The Darkly Inclined. [Death, High Priestess & Never Seen By Waking Eyes]🖤

Hello ladies and gents,

A while back I purchased a mystery box that had a small sample of "Death" from Andromeda's Curse in the assortment of goods. I instantly fell in love with the scent, upon first initial sniff.
So much so, that I went out and purchased a full bottle of it to wear and own.

For those who aren't aware: Andromeda's Curse makes perfume oils for the darkly inclined.
With scents titled Death and Bat Orchid--it was like finding a home away from home within a perfume shop.
Today I will be showcasing Death and two added samples--
High Priestess and Never Seen By Waking Eyes!

⚙️Self Defense Jewelry by CAKRA [Rant/Review/Showcase/Try-on]⚙️

I received some packages in the mail a while back.
California has a rape rate of 37.2 since 2017.
With 100,000 inhabitants in the United States, by state--this number is very high.
(With Alabama being the worst of them all, with 116.7 climbing rate.)
But according to some statistics, it is STILL climbing daily. Probably as we even speak.
(This is not even mentioning all the other types of crime and violence happening around the world!)

Self Defense is something we hear about almost on a regular basis.
In actuality, it has become our norm to carry some form of protection.
I hear it all the time from people: "if it ever happens to me, I'll know what to do!
but when it boils down to such a time, are we really that prepared?

This is a very touchy topic for me because I've been the victim of a lot of horrible moments in my life that called for critical thinking and quick decision making. From experiences that would have ended badly, pushy individuals that couldn't take "NO" for an answer and my having to run to ensure my own safety. I can honestly tell you that never once have I been "fully prepared." Most of my experiences were spur of the moments. I felt afraid, paranoid and caught like a deer in headlights.

It's really a tactic of "Fight or Flight" in moments like these.

😈Mommy's Little Monster (A recreation of my mother's doll!)😈 | Hannabal Marie

Sneaky Peeky~

Hello ladies and gents
I am posting on behalf of my mother. For mother's day, this year, I thought it would be pretty awesome to recreate one of her handmade dolls in human form.

She have always created dolls my whole life. She does so as a fun little past-time.
Gifting a new one to me for my birthday or "just because."

I love her dolls so much and that isn't a biased opinion--
I watch her hand-stitch every inch. I see her create the patterns at the end of her bed, lightly pressing fingers to fabric in hopes to "feel" what a specific doll would end up becoming.
Each one as unique as the next. I see her struggle with the thread as she puts it through the needle, nearly jabbing her own fingers a few times--she just smiles and says; "pain is just an extra piece of fabric!" Hahaa

Every element of these dolls has been touched, loved, held, sweetly spoken to and taken care of. Much like a mother to a child, she holds them up high and feels a sense of pride when the last stitch is knotted. Her growing collection beside her bedside table sparkles a smile in their glass eyes, knowing that my mother will talk to each one as she passes the bedroom to get to her next pattern and material. Her love is stitched between loose ends, and for that--I had to bring life to the doll she made for me recently. Make her daughter become one of her dolls. <3
Before we get to the final look, I want to include a few snaps I took in the day.

My dad woke us up to a great breakfast, he made some french toast. We ate, decided what we were going to do and then set out to do it. We also wanted to do a little ghost hunting/chatting with the haunted in our house, but nothing really happened enough to document. Then again, we weren't really trying to catch anything nor did we really take it too seriously. My mom just wanted to do it for Mothers Day because she loves it so much.

We did, however, end up binge watching some late night Paranormal shows and scary stories on the television to end the day. It was just a very silent, sweet little Mothers Day all about our mom and what she wanted to do--which was just be with us, as a family, without distractions. So, not much was taken in terms of photos or content other than my makeup present I showed her on the actual day!

❤️Happy World Goth Day 2019 (Makeup Look & Cemetery Visit! Plus some Goth history on myself!!)❤️ | Hannabal Marie

We decided, since it's the week of Memorial Day, we'd check out one of our local cemeteries.
Hello ladies and gents
Another day, another post...
For those who celebrate--Happy World Goth Day!!

I've been "Goth" for close to 10+ years.
Have had a love/hate relationship with the title for many many reasons...
mostly consisting of cruel kids telling me whom is and whom isn't "gothier than thou"
But the fact of the matter doesn't concern opinions...I will always love the word.
With or without an approval.

I can go into detail but it will take much too long and quite frankly, it's not that important.
What IS important is that I have found my love for the Subculture once again and can proudly claim that over 10+ years of trial and error. Heartache and ridicule. Being "Goth" isn't a fashion statement but something that can only be felt when you acknowledge that you are and will always be "Goth."
Maybe not to the book nor to most people's ideals of what "Goth" is defined, but to yourself YOU can be as Goth as YOU want. If you love the subculture, the lifestyle and if you feel as if you are Goth...then YOU ARE!

Here are some of my school IDs and my ID when I turned 18. I wish I had my other 2 years in school, but I don't have them anymore. Those two years was when I was the most "goth" by definition. But you can see a bit of it in these pics. Please note: my style always changed, every single day. I was constantly always evolving--like a damn pokemon. lol

But this post isn't about defining what Goth is, it's about celebrating such a grand occasion.
So, here we go:

👄A DeCeMBeR To DiSmEmBeR (PT2) [Holidays Looks of 2018]👄 | Hannabal Marie

Our Holidays Looks!
Hello ladies and gentlefish
I am bringing you a recap of Christmas 2018--
all the looks we (Me and Ghost Lee) created for the holidays.

It has become something like a tradition to always add to the collection from the years before--
2017 was the year that started this tradition--though we've been doing "looks" our whole life.
Mostly for Halloween and other darkly-aesthetic holidays...
but 2017 was the year we decided to do Christmas related things because, well, who said Xmas had to always be PG13? lol

A few of my personal favorites from then was the Yule Log cookie look I did, with the help of my brother who designed and created me the unique Cake wig! But so many from 2017 that really kick-started us into this odd holiday direction.

These were the looks from 2017!
Left to Right--The Ghost of Christmas Past, Mr. Scrooge, Female Krampus, Baby It's Cold Outside, Yule Log, Dolls Kill, Oh--Deer, Gryla
& La Befana!

A lot of amazing looks--some I am very proud of and will probably be proud of for years to come.
But last year--we added to this collection and created 9 more.
The collection shall continue to grow until we both are basically dead. lol
*or until we run out of ideas! lol

♥️Cult Fragrance x The Cannibal Carnival Presents: Christmas EVIL & Folklore Noire Perfume Oils♥️ | Hannabal Marie

OUR CREATIONS!
Hello ladies and gents
This has been in the making since last year, but I am here to finally make it official!
I am apart of a group called The Cannibal Carnival on Facebook--have been for quite some time.
What started out as just a nice way to gather like-minded individuals into one place, has now blossomed into over 28K+ fans and counting.

We specialize in the dark and macabre--posting hand-written facts, customized content, odd & strange finds, interesting information about all sorts of things that go bump in the night. It has been a family page, consisting of me and my brother (with the help of my mom and dad, as well.) Never did we think we'd end up where we are now, communicating with so many amazing people on a daily and getting the chance to collaborate with companies that come our way.
Cult Fragrance and The Cannibal Carnival Presents~
That is why I am here announcing this amazing collaboration between us,
The Cannibal Carnival and Cult Fragrance.
I have already went into full detail about Cult Fragrance in a separate post about some incense and items I purchased from her shop a while back, that can be viewed HERE.
But we came together to create this KILLER holiday and folklore line.

All the scents are novelty, but can also be worn as frequent as you like.
Most people nowadays just want to smell good--but good doesn't cut it for us.
We want to smell like a story, a fairy tale or just plainly obscure.
I like scents that send me away to a different realm and allow me to break free from reality.
That is exactly what we, The Cannibal Carnival and Cult Fragrance has came up with these two scent lines.
I couldn't be happier with our creations. They look so beautiful together!

💀 I WON AN INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY--"Don't Fear Dawn" Ch. 6 Comic, Print & DFD Collector Card 💀 | Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents,
A while back, Don't Fear Dawn was hosting a 1K appreciation giveaway for her followers.
In the post, she asked what your favorite monster was and why, I put my two sense into the comment and left. Not really thinking I would win anything! I ended up getting one of the prizes from a lot, which included: A signed DFD comic, a print & a collector card.

The other prizes that people could have won were: a poster, cards, and several other packs of signed comics/prints/cards. I was one of the lucky ones to get 1 of the 7 packs.

With all the people commenting, liking and tagging--I assumed I would only be remembered as someone who participated but I actually WON!

🌙 Halloween Tarot Inspired Looks: Tarro-ROT🌙 | Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents,
For Halloween, me and my brother came together
and created a series of Halloween inspired tarot cards.
we selected a theme and/or Halloween Tradition/character/concept
to which we combined the classic Tarot arcanum with--
in order to create what we have to show you today.

I chose 3, he chose 3
and together we have a series of 6!

We wanted to create more, but were strapped on time.
So, 6 will have to do for now.

We plan to come back to this concept next year but in the following months of Nov/Dec--
we are planning to do an actual Tarot representation of the cards alone,
without the Halloween reference. (of course!)

So, stay tuned for that.
But until then--indulge in our Tarro-ROT cards!

I have already posted a mystery box from Le Noir Bazaar on my blog HERE
and I also created a YouTube video unboxing it, HERE!

But in this post, I will show you what items I got in this months SUBSCRIPTION BOX.

This box really captures the essence of Halloween.

Le Noir Bazaar has two types of "Mystery boxes"--
a monthly mystery where every box is specifically themed for the sake of the month in question
and a random mystery box, where they ship you a box at random.
I got the October Subscription Box!

I made a video unboxing it, for those video inclined

Their monthly Witchy lifestyle mystery box includes a hand-picked selection
of at least five spooky, Witchy & Gothic Bohemian jewelry,
accessories, bath products & more delivered to your doorstep!

All kinds of dark goodies, it fills my heart with glee.

October is sold out, sadly!
But you can order now to reserve your November box!

Each box will contain at least 5 items and will have a retail value of $60-$80+
(Mine calculated to be around $107.00 in awesome products!!)

So, with the particulars out of the way--here is my showcase:
(I am going to also calculate how much every item retails for,
to see if the box really retails for more than the amount you are paying for!)

The goodies were all wrapped nicely and securely with bubble wrap and gently placed inside this beautiful purple tissue paper & purple grass. Such a lovely presentation.

👿"Vampyr, The Blood Drinker" Vampire Inspired Aquarium Nails👿 | Hannabal Marie

The nails I created for a makeup look I plan to do soon.

Hello ladies and gents
Since Halloween is fast approaching,
I thought it was necessary to get into the spirits by doing my nails.

The designing of the Aquarium Nail was very different from anything I've ever tried before.

I have been seeing the Aquarium nail going around a lot lately
and I wanted to try it out for myself.
But unlike the typical Aquarium nail, I wanted to do something a little more my speed.

🐞Taxidermy Bug Brooches--"Jumping Jack" & "Little Miss Soon-To-Be" | Hannabal Marie

My little brooches.

Hello ladies and gents
Today I am bringing you a post that will either make people intrigued...
or just really gross them out.

I love the preservation of critters in whatever form they can be obtained.
But most importantly, the preservation of insects.
The look of the butterflies pinned to foam boards.

I want to address that I would never hurt a living thing intentionally
but I do love and respect all aspects of life--both living and dead.

The following critters were found as they are shown.
My dog actually brought me the dead grasshopper, so he was the one who supplied me. lol
I only picked up the carcass and used it for the following pieces of art.

It was either do this in remembrance or have my dog chomp on them.
I couldn't let him munch on this beautiful little guy.
But thanks, Charlie--for giving me the little present! :)

💚 Thrift HAUL-O-Ween Finds--Demonic Baby Doll, A Board Game & Vtg Halloween Makeup! 💚 | Hannabal Marie

The dolls they had on display.
Hello ladies and gents
I have a lovely post full of amazing finds today
from the Thrift Store.

I have been postponing this specific post for a while,
because I wanted to make sure I got enough items to create a good juicy post with.
And I am readier than ever to post now.

So, go grab yourself a nice cup of Java (or tea, for those who don't like coffee!)

Some costumes they were selling.
and get ready for a ton of cool items I found at the thrift store.

A lot of the things I found today has been collected throughout the month of September.
A few tossed in here and there.
I have mentioned this in a previous post
but I wanted to make sure you understood--
everything I find usually takes a lot of time and effort to obtain.
I just collect and keep collecting until I think it's a good time to post about 'em.
I never purchase anything I don't personally love, I'm not trying to make a profit--
I am just collecting because I love what I find.

I might, one day, become very serious about this thing
and do it as a job to make cash but right now,
I just like to thrift for the sake of thrifting.

More costumes on the racks.

I am an avid Thrifter, so I like to pop in sometimes JUST to see what they have on the shelves.
Most of the time, I will come out with one or two items. Sometimes, nothing.
But on the grand good occasion--I will come home with bags upon bags of cheap, amazing finds.

This specific post is made out of a few trips.
All of which were amazing to find in of themselves.
But overall, I am so happy and ready to showcase them to you now.

I also took some snaps of the thrift store itself.
I wanted to do a sort of "walkthrough"--so I hope you like it.

📌 Wasteland Pin Co. Showcase/Review 📌 | Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
Today's post is about a lovely pin company called
Wasteland Pin Co.

I have already done an unboxing on my YouTube channel, for those curious.
This post is just going to be a showcase/review on each pin individually.
highlighting what I think of them, their price and the overall construction of them in general.
Is it worth the dollar amount or is it not? That sort of deal.

They shipped to me individually wrapped for my convenience.

Wasteland pin co., for those wondering, is a enamel pin company that sells a wide variety of horror movie themed pins/keychains.
They have a lot of wonderful classic themed horror movies up on their website--like Nosferatu, Scream, The Freddy/Jason franchisee and all of those classics.
With some pins being marked "Limited Edition"...you are getting a one-of-a-kind gem to wear and own.

Look at the bunch of goodies I got! I can't wait to wear them!

They do sell reprints and as far as I am concerned, they also seem to do a few restocks when the demand is strong but most of the ones I will be showing you today is still up for grabs, with the exception of one of them.

I will be including direct links to where you can purchase that specific pin, unless it isn't available.
So, if you like a pin, just click on the intro name and it will redirect you to it.
So, enough with this banter--I will talk more at the end, so let us begin with the showcase:
