🎃🍂Autumnal Carnival Collection 2019🍂🎃--SNAKE WOMAN, GLUTTON & GLITTER BEARD LADY PERFUME OILS!

Hello boils and ghouls, I have quite the treat for you all today.
Cult Fragrance x The Cannibal Carnival has come together again to create another collection.
Unlike the few before, this one is very close to my heart--

⭐The Autumnal Carnival Collection
"Step right up! The freaks are just DYING to eat...I mean MEET you!
Experience each act! Thrill your senses! Bring out your inner freak!
Stand out from the crowd & smell good enough to EAT~!"
I am going to be showing you each bottle, explaining in further detail and giving you my take on the scents. What they smell like, how they work on my skin and how long they last. You must understand, these scents are no ordinary perfume. Each bottle is a different "act" in the carnival. Each important yet so very different. Alone, they are a spectacle to experience but together they will entice you to return and keep returning back to the carnival. One whiff and you're under the spell...I just hope you don't mind to loose...your mind~

🎃THE LAST CALL FOR A HALLOWEEN HAUL...OF THE SEASON!🎃

Happy Halloween 2019~

Hello ladies and gents
Yes, you read it right--this will be the LAST haul post in the month of October.
(minus the posts that might happen afterwards...ya know? After Halloween discounts! lmfao)
I went back several trips ago to gather some stuff I needed for Halloween.
On and off--for a few days--gathering any last bits of things I liked/wanted/etc.

I'll be honest--I have been postponing from posting because it gives me a great deal of sadness to even attempt to write. Even right now, I'm almost in tears from the thought this will be the last post about hauling in October. Halloween is my pride and joy but when it's gone..it's GONE. It leaves a small empty space in my soul that can only be filled by another year's worth of Halloween spookiness. But that's a whole 'nother year worth of waiting. AHHHHHHHHH

Think spooky thoughts, Hannabal. Spooky thoughts. Yes~
Anyways, enough with the stalling...here it is.

Halloween Treats Review--Pumpkin Delights, Caramel Apple Oatmeal Creme Pies & A Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

Happy Halloween~

Hello ladies and gents
I am bringing you a review on two Halloween/Harvest themed treats...
as well as, the infamous Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
everyone has been bragging about since the dawn of the internet life.
The opinions are coming straight out of the mouth of a goth, for over 10+ years.
Not that it should matter, but it gives a bit of zest to this post, am I right? lol

It's no laughing joke with some people. When you mutter the words "Pumpkin Spice Latte" in your native tongue, they'll chew you up and spit you out. Some folk have a zero tolerance for the stuff. Understandably so--if they happen to dislike the taste but recently, while I was looking at a display of them bottled up in my grocery store. Thinking "WOW. Starbucks Lattes are here! WHY?" I encountered two ladies. I overheard one of the girls talking in disgust about them to which her friend asked "why?" and the answered made me decide on my own purchase of one to try. She didn't mutter she hated the texture or the taste. It wasn't because of some huge political stance on the stuff. She hated Pumpkin Spice Lattes and she "didn't know why. She just did!!"

No real reason--probably from listening to everyone else hating them in turn made her hate them, too.
She didn't know why she did but she felt she had to since the drink is usually seen as a disgusting thing among non-drinkers. If you drank it and enjoyed it, you'd be seen as the few they joke about thus putting yourself into that category. It made me question why I hated it, as well. I didn't. I never tried it, I can't form a conclusion if I never tried it. I just, like the girl, felt a need to never try a sip because I was accustom to everyone else's opinion. And that is why we are here today--to try and form our OWN opinion on the drink. (as well as try out some little Halloween treats along the way!)

Sorry for the long introduction, it would be pointless to just post without giving some backstory.
I'll save the latte review for last, since it will probably be the most detailed. But enough chatting--time to indulge~

⚙️Self Defense Jewelry by CAKRA [Rant/Review/Showcase/Try-on]⚙️

I received some packages in the mail a while back.
California has a rape rate of 37.2 since 2017.
With 100,000 inhabitants in the United States, by state--this number is very high.
(With Alabama being the worst of them all, with 116.7 climbing rate.)
But according to some statistics, it is STILL climbing daily. Probably as we even speak.
(This is not even mentioning all the other types of crime and violence happening around the world!)

Self Defense is something we hear about almost on a regular basis.
In actuality, it has become our norm to carry some form of protection.
I hear it all the time from people: "if it ever happens to me, I'll know what to do!
but when it boils down to such a time, are we really that prepared?

This is a very touchy topic for me because I've been the victim of a lot of horrible moments in my life that called for critical thinking and quick decision making. From experiences that would have ended badly, pushy individuals that couldn't take "NO" for an answer and my having to run to ensure my own safety. I can honestly tell you that never once have I been "fully prepared." Most of my experiences were spur of the moments. I felt afraid, paranoid and caught like a deer in headlights.

It's really a tactic of "Fight or Flight" in moments like these.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
If you follow me on Instagram, You would have seen that I posted a "sneak peek" of this surprise item for all to see. But for all those who guessed "Hearse" you were correct!

But it's not just any hearse, it's a HEARSE PURSE--
The Original Hearse Purse, to be exact.

⭐Ravyn Grove Elemental--Beautifully Hand-Poured Hoodoo Voodoo Candles⭐ | Hannabal Marie

This big o' box was waiting for me on my front porch.

To some people, a candle is merely a candle. A object of light when no light is around.
A wishing rod on someone's birthday
or even a dainty little trinket you put on your vanity to "spruce up a room"
Now, the aesthetic of candles have always been an attraction to me but I can't stress how important they are to someone in the craft.

They are the connecting pillars to our deities or vessels of magic.
When a candle is present, so is our god/goddess (or none at all, or perhaps yourself!
Everyone is different and everyone believes differently.)
But to me, I can feel a powerful force or rather, a powerful "connection" whenever I light a candle.
It makes me feel as if I am on a higher plateau than I already am.

By lighting a candle, we are harnessing the power of fire to bring about a change. Fire, for those unaware, is an element of transformation. Fire can help or fire can take away. It can melt wax, turn organic matter into ash. Softens hard metals. It can boil water, heat substances and even warm you on a bone chilling night. It can be warmth or it can be chaos. Solely depends on you and what you bend the fire into.
Everything was secured and double wrapped with bubble wrap. As you can plainly see, everything was packaged quite nicely! The box even had bubble mailers and those air shipping pillows. :)

I'm not going to sit here and pull out the history books but candles have been around (or rather, the idea of fire being powerful has been around) for a very long time. In the prehistoric days, it was looked at and even feared as something "divine" and/or "god-like." There is a long and dark history about candles that truly shines light on the occult.

👹Monsterz Of Mayhem Ceramics👹 | Hannabal Marie

If you try to define "monster" online, it will state the following:
"an imaginary creature that is typically large, ugly, and frightening"

To some, the idea of a "monster" will cross their mind with what the media has painted them to be--Entities with horrible appearances that both scare and intimate the audience.
But I, for one, have always found monsters as beings worthy of love and appreciation.

At a very young age, while most kids were crying over Frankenstein, being scared about the creature that lurks in the depths of the sea and getting creeped out over the zombies deformities...
there I was, admiring them for their kindness they shown and sheer beauty that is skin deep and unseen by a naked eye.

I loved this image, I don't know why. Something about it really calms me.

As someone who used to grow up identifying herself as a "monster" to the general public when being forced into a corner in grade school because I just so happened to dress differently and act differently...As one who idolized monsters and leveled with them in such a way that sparked a form of unspoken connection between me and the "thing" people feared on TV or read about in magazines...I can truly appreciate what Monsterz of Mayhem is about!
I, as well, have a soft spot for the ideology of what a monster represents to those who just don't understand or rather, fail to understand.

⭐Cult Fragrance Halloween Themed Incense⭐ | Hannabal Marie

Not only did I get my items--I was also gifted a Halloween treat bag and some complimentary soaps!

Hello ladies and gents
A while back, I decided to make a purchase online from a company
I am proud to showcase to you all today--Cult Fragrance.

It is like a Halloween tradition to buy some new incense,
to help really bring the feeling of the season inside the house.

My goodies arrived quick, on time and inside a beautiful packing envelope.

Last year, I found a company that made single note incense sticks--
all pretty good but honestly, with what I am about to show you today, can't even compare.

Cult Fragrance has to be my new latest obsession, when it comes to incense sticks.

I haven't tried them all, to really form an opinion on the company but from what I have received--I am beyond happy with my selections.

Such a kind heart. Thank you for everything!

I have looked everywhere for a good company that can really (and truly) grasp how this holiday smells to me.
Sounds crazy, but I have a memory imprint when it comes to certain scents and Cult Fragrance really brings all my wild imaginations to life with some of their wonderful sticks.

Take for instance, candy corn.
Now, if you go looking around online for an incense stick that can smell similar to this sweet, tasty candy--you will find people who either leave out notes or who assume that since it's candy, any form of "sweet vanilla" will do. I can't even begin to tell you how horrible some of my purchases were  before I found this company. Cult Fragrance really makes me question how a true stick is supposed to smell like and why I have never found them before, because the scents are just magical.
If any words were to describe the smell they give off--it would have to be magical

Thank you so much, for the sweets! :)

Not only does the candy corn smell like you just put a handful of the delicious sweets into your mouth, but it isn't something that can easily be distinguished by a single note. The smell is something more complex...something that starts off one way, but morphs and ends in another...yet, somehow, still keeping true to the namesake. It's sweet, it's savory, it's spicy yet blends beautifully into a warm honey mixture--which, after the stick completely dies down, only leaves you with the firm understanding of what candy corn is meant to smell like.

Bitemares Horror Teeth "Souleater" Showcase/Review | Hannabal Marie

I really love the packaging these shipped in.
I am going to keep mine in their packaging and display them proudly.

Hello ladies and gents
Being someone who is into doing character looks
and monster spfx makeup--
having a good set of fake teeth really helps to tie your whole look together.

If having contact lenses can really bring life to a look--
fake teeth would be at the top of this list, as well.

They really look realistic.
They also make me have a larger mouth, fuller lips and looking all kissable. lmao

Nothing sells a design, character, etc like a good set of teeth.
I can't even begin to tell you how important it is for someone like me
to own a nice realistic set of monster teeth.

🔎The Deadbolt Mystery Society "The Wrath Of Nero" Unboxing/Solving🔍 ((SPOILERS)) | Hannabal Marie

This is from my YouTube video on my channel.

Hello ladies and gents, Hannabal Marie here.
A while back I was given this subscription box as a means to unbox
on my YouTube channel
but I decided to go a bit further and create a sort of mini movie
on my channel about me and my brother solving the thing.

I, of course, didn't have to go to such extents but I felt it necessary.
Also, I don't like to be plain and simple when I can be out of the ordinary and extreme. lol

The box itself is such an amazing subscription.
Every month is different and in every month, a new case has to be solved and cracked.
You are playing your own personal detective and trying your best (with or without friends) to solve a specific case in a certain amount of time.
*basically until the next month releases a new case*

♥️ Le Noir Bazaar "Mystery Box" Unboxing/Showcase ♥️ | Hannabal Marie

All the goodies I got from my mystery box!

Hello ladies and gents
Mystery Boxes have been something that has been going around quite frequently.
With the wide array of selections, it's hard to choose one that will fit to all your dark and GORE-gous needs.
that is, until I stumbled onto this Mystery Box from Le Noir Bazaar!

For around $25 dollars, you get one huge (and quite heavy, by my own experience!) box of goodies that should, as the website states, be a total of more than $50 dollars worth of items for your buck.
All full of dark, alternative, Gothic and witchy items that will fit your style (and lifestyle) to a perfect and complete "T."

Their monthly mystery boxes include a hand-picked selection of at least five spooky, witchy, & bohemian jewelry, accessories, bath products & more to your doorstep.
Every box is at random, so you will never end up with the same one someone else will get.
*hence the Mystery Box aspect of this beautiful thing!*

I want to also address the actual box itself!
It's so beautiful and well detailed! I am actually going to keep all my goodies inside it as a keepsake!

🌜⭐️Mystical Inspirations Unboxing/Showcase (+Makeup Look) ⭐️🌛 | Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
As a lover of all things magical--I stumbled onto a lovely jewelry maker
who creates such one-of-a-kind pieces from crystals and wire.

Her work is so breath-taking that I couldn't possibly pass up this opportunity
to see if we could come together and create something from her work.

I told her I would create a work of art if she would send me something to inspire that creation.
It was on a spur of the moment and quite frankly, I wasn't expecting her to respond at all.
But she did and promptly, at that.

We exchanged brief words, asking me what my favorite colors were
and before I knew it, she was creating me what I am about to show you today.

Before I get to the showcase and makeup creation,
I want to touch base with you guys more about her and her work:

She sent me her business card with a cute little note written on the backside.

(Taken from her website)
"As an artist and designer I started as a child,
always loved to make things and collecting crystals.
I went on to study art and photography after high school.
I met my husband and left college to start a family.
As my child got older, I started to create again."

"I then taught myself to work with wire
and I started to create pieces with crystals for friends and family.
This was how Mystical Inspirations was born."

"I cleanse, charge and bless all the stones that pass through me to their person.
I also offer other services.
I am a registered minister (non denomination) with the universal life church.
I perform weddings and hand-fastenings.
I also teach meditation, spirit journeys and finding your own power.
I also offer crystal healing and energy work."

💎 The Chain And Stone Showcase & Unboxing 💎 // Hannabal Marie

All the items was sent to me for the sake of this showcase.

Hello ladies and gents
Sorry I have been absent in my posting,
I have been running around like crazy doing all sorts of things.
When I did find free time, something would pop up to take it's place. lol

But enough waiting, I am here to post a lovely unboxing
and showcase of some beautiful handmade items I was given by a lovely friend behind
The Chain And Stone!

The Chain And Stone is a place for handmade, one of a kind, jewelry.
She specializes in Wiccan jewelry but she can also do custom orders if you email her.

She has been doing this for over 6 years now. Her creations are beautiful and very inspiring.
Inspiring so much, that I had to create a full-on makeup look and outfit showcasing all her items.

She sent me a lovely little card inside the box.

I contacted her on my own request, to see if she'd like to collab/partner with me.
And she was so kind enough to send this whole box my way.

So, enough chit-chat...allow me to just show you the items in their full glory!

GlowAmaze "Natural Dead Sea Mud Mask" Review // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
I have a mud mask review for you today.
I wasn't going to post about it but skincare items are something I am passionate about--alongside makeup.

As a self-proclaimed makeup artist, one must keep her canvas clean and healthy.
So, skincare related products such as face peels, toners, creams, tonics and facial masks are something I take great pride in doing on a laid back day.

Collagen Hydro Gel Gold Mask // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents
This is kind of a useless post but I wanted to post it regardless.
I purchased this little face mask at Walmart a few days ago and decided to give myself a little spa day.
I wasn't going to post anything about this mask until the end results really justified any reasons I had to do so.
ALSO, I took some fun photos and thought they looked cool.
So, birds with stones here, people. lol

Book Review: "Misfit Faith" (Confessions Of A Drunk Ex-Pastor) // Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents,
Another book review for those inclined.
I don't normally like to talk or address religious materials--mostly for personal reasons and to stay away from verbal fights that will surely break open if I voiced an opinion but I couldn't possibly read this book and not review it.

This is a terrific book, hands down!
Ideally for the person who is balancing between faiths and not really knowing where or why they don't fit in with a world so dedicated and rather--concrete.

"Misfit Faith" is a fairly quick read--full of dark humor and quick wit.
Grasping at the most common questions of man to a God that just seems to be "away on business".
Is God real, really? What does it all mean? Is God all loving or all hating?
These questions and more can and will be found in this book, mostly as commentary but still rather thought-provoking.

That dead stare--the cold facial expressions.
