💀 I WON AN INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY--"Don't Fear Dawn" Ch. 6 Comic, Print & DFD Collector Card 💀 | Hannabal Marie

Hello ladies and gents,
A while back, Don't Fear Dawn was hosting a 1K appreciation giveaway for her followers.
In the post, she asked what your favorite monster was and why, I put my two sense into the comment and left. Not really thinking I would win anything! I ended up getting one of the prizes from a lot, which included: A signed DFD comic, a print & a collector card.

The other prizes that people could have won were: a poster, cards, and several other packs of signed comics/prints/cards. I was one of the lucky ones to get 1 of the 7 packs.

With all the people commenting, liking and tagging--I assumed I would only be remembered as someone who participated but I actually WON!

It has been a while since I got my package but I have been way too busy to post until now.
But I did get it last Monday, as she promised.  Which is awesome! I didn't have to wait too long for my package and it was such a wonderful little thing to have in time for the holidays.
Merry Christmas to me! hahaa

Anyways, I have been in love with this comic since I stumbled onto her profile a while ago.
I found her for a different reason, which I will admit--Don't Fear Dawn was drawing random people she felt like picking and I followed her for the sake of getting a drawing but stayed because she is such a kind soul and her artwork is absolutely incredible. I was so happy to see that Robyn not only does the illustrations but write the story alongside her husband, Neil McCammon.

This was the art she drew of me! <3
My goodies!
For those that don't know:
"Dawn" (Forsythia "Dawn" Hatcher) comes from quite the dysfunctional family. Living with her alcoholic mother and working a job in a dead-end desert town, Dawn leads a stressful life. But when an unexpected visitor reveals the identity of her estranged father, Dawn's hopes of having a normal family finally seem to be within grasp. Will the price Dawn must pay for her new life be worth it, or will an unexpected detour show her just how eternal true familial bonds can become?

A comic about monsters, vampires and horror!
It's right up my alley, since horror and vampires have to be my favorite things on the planet.

Enough with the idle chit-chat, allow me to show you my goods. (giggle giggle)

The first thing I got was this beautifully illustrated print of the nursery.
The line work is so lovely!! I really want to get into comics/graphic novels one day, as well.
Seeing such beautiful artwork is very inspiring.

Alongside the print, I also got this envelope filled with goodies.
A business card and a collector card from the DFD comics.

On the reversed side--for those curious.
It seems I got Jason Ragnorsson.
I haven't creased the binding of my comic to see which character I like best but he does seem interesting from the details.

And lastly, my signed comic.
Signed by both Robyn and her husband, Neil.

I love when people sign their own work.
I am going to forever cherish this comic.

I also like that her husband is working alongside her in the creation of this.
A partnership between the both of them.
It's very beautiful to see! :)

The back of my comic, the artwork is what really speaks to me! I love it so much!!

The following snaps are just from random sections of the comic.

I like the scenery of this specific section. I don't quite know what's happening but I am excited to find out.

I love the attention to details and facial expressions the characters have.

First edition, Volume 6!
I can't wait to start reading this comic.
From the looks of it, it really sounds like it will be quite the read!
I will update once I finish and tell you what I read word for word.
Until then, take care.
xoxo
