❀Perfume Company Review: Royalty Lotus❀

"Perfume is the art that makes memory speak"--According to Francis Kurkdjian. A powerful tool that can send us on journey's through scented clouds. Today I will be reviewing a shop that I found on Instagram that specializes in perfumes through essential oils, soaps, lotion bars and so much more. 

Royalty Lotus is the name, backed by two brothers--Shawn & Ryan. According to an excerpt on their website; 

"Ryan has a passion for mixing and making his own soaps, lotions, sprays, and candles. His passion for creating scented products started when he noticed not a lot of other scented products had the scent he wanted, he began creating more and more until he established a baseline of scents he personally enjoyed. He had also noticed that no other brands would let you 'pick and choose' what types of scents you wanted and he wanted to change that, but he wanted to go a step further and let people 'pick and choose' much more than just what scent they would like. He wants to let people know they have a choice when it comes to how they smell, no matter what season and no matter what occasion."

Many of their products are custom-friendly--with you being able to pick three notes to create your own personalized fragrance. (depending on the product!) Along with the note selection, you also get to pick what oil base you'd like & the strength you'd prefer. For the oil base--they have the choices of Castor, Coconut, Jojoba & Sweet Almond. Definitely something for everyone! And for the strengths--there are 5 levels of strength; Skin Scent (Light--Ideal for those whom might be sensitive!), Radiant (Mild), Regular (Medium), Strong (Bold) and Fill A Room (Strong & Bold.) The last two tiers cost a bit extra, but nothing to extreme. ($0.75 for Bold, $1.00 for Strong & Bold.) 

For my review today, I got a little of everything. 3 essential perfume oils, a lotion bar, a moisturizing body spray, a soap & a candle. As I am not too keen on creating my own scents just yet, I was just interested in their 3-pack of limited edition Halloween scents that they already mixed. 

A disclaimer--these scents were limited edition, so they are no longer available. (At least, until further notice!) but I am reviewing them as a whole of the company, rather than a possibility for purchase. More perfumes just like the ones mentioned here will be on their website! Thank you!

Uncle Fester Transformation by Hannabal Marie

 

Hello ladies and gents, Since Halloween is basically tomorrow--

I thought I'd go ahead and transform as one of my many many manyyy favorite characters; Uncle Fester!

The person who I dedicate this to was the person who suggested my transformation; my brother.

For his bday coming up, I thought I'd do it.

I love...DEBBIE!

Also, he told me it would be pretty funny to hug a pack of Little Debbies as Fester! lmfao

I thought out of all the Debbie Snackcakes, Nutty Buddy would fit Fester perfectly! After all, he is a Nutty Buddy! lmfao

That is all. This look probably will be filed under the few of my "cursed images." But after transforming as Eric, I don't think this is any worse than that one! lmfao

💀Spirit Halloween, Big Lots & Home Depot--2020 Halloween!💀

Hello ladies and gents, I have another Halloween themed post for you all.

I couldn't possibly let Halloween 2020 slip by without taking a journey to these few places before they close down completely. Especially Spirit Halloween, among the few mentioned here. Honestly, the last two were just down the same path back home, so I thought;"Why Not?" lol

This is just going to be a peek into the store, to show you what they had to offer this year. Just to experience what everyone else got to witness weeks ago. (haha) I couldn't make any purchases, price tags were just too high for me to commit. What I CAN do is pretend I bought everything in these photos, though--so, there's that! lol

HALLOWEEN DIY: Sam Doll from Trick R Treat

Today's post is about one (of the many many crafts for Halloween! lol) that I took up during my HallowQuarantine.

I made 3 different Sam dolls with my mother (Smile & Stitches on Instagram!) for her to sale. I'm happy to announce that she sold ALL 3 OF THEM! That just amazes me, to know that someone out in the world has my little paintwork propped up in their homes. That melts my heart so much!

I'm not gonna lie, painting Sam's face was actually pretty fun. A bit exhausting after the third attempt but each one is so unique. Different from each other! 

🎃HALLOWEEN AT BIG LOTS🎃

Hello, just continuing this trend of posting stuff I forgot to post until much later in the month. lol

A while back, we visited Big Lots, just to see the new stuff they had on the shelves. Not really going to make any purchases, due to just not having enough in our pocket to do so at the moment, but we did end up getting a small little pumpkin light we found sitting by his lonesome for a few coins.

This was the week everything FIRST started showing up on the shelves. (yep, THAT long ago!)

Everything was fresh & new. It was so wholesome to see the stocked shelves for Halloween in mid Sept. It made my little dark heart flutter with joy!

I guess it's safe to say Halloween is practically here now. Autumn sure is my favorite time of year--too bad it doesn't feel like Autumn. Feels like a mild Summer, in my opinion! lol

Witchy Review: Gh0stP0nyGoods Custom Herbal Apothecary Spell Jars!

For my birthday this year, my mother got me some custom spellwork jars from a company called Gh0stP0nyGoods. A quick scroll through their Etsy page shows that Gh0stP0nyGoods is about the occult and the *natural* lifestyle also known as "vulture culture" to some people. (recycling materials, scavenged animal bones, herbs, etc.) Definitely my cup of tea...err, coffee?! 

I'm a big lover of all things witchy and curio--being that my blog here consists of all forms of both of those things--I knew I had to dedicate a post solely on these beautifully crafted bottles.

99 CENT STORE & DOLLAR TREE GALORE--Checking out ALL the penny stores for Halloweeny goods!

I thought it would be an awesome idea to check all my local penny stores for Halloween goodies. When I mean "all" I actually mean every. single. store accessible in my location. You see, we have about 2 99 Cent Stores & 2 Dollar Trees in my general direction. Normally, we'd pick one and be happy for the whole year--but this year, we thought we'd try them all. Hey now, I know this isn't a big deal for the lot of you guyts but it's a HUGE deal for me! So, pretend to be impressed! hahaa

I hope spooky szn has been going great for you. I'm a little late in posting because life has been quite chaotic but I could never ever miss spooky szn! 

Today I went to the 99 cent store and grabbed a few goodies I thought was cute. 
Stuff I could add into my small growing collection & other things.
I have a TON of projects in the works. A few I have already finished *yet to be seen here, just wait!* and a few more I am starting on as we speak.

As is the custom every year--Vintage Halloween is always abundant. I grabbed a few goodies before anyone else snagged them up! *they always sell so damn fast!*

I seen this little Whirl-o Fortune Telling Game sitting all by itself, and knew I had to own it.

The style is definitely Vintage Halloween. Which is what I loved so much.

💚Wicked Witch Makeup Look by Hannabal Marie💚

The WITCH is back! I decided to transform into my real self for October. 

So pray tell, my pretty...is the wicked witch 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 dead?

In the life of a Witch, there is no "after" in the "ever after." There is no "happily." In the story of a Witch, there is no afterword. Of that part that is beyond the life story...beyond the story of her life, there is--alas--(or perhaps thank mercy!!) no telling. She was dead. Dead and gone. All that was left of her was the carapace of her reputation for malice. I am her malice. Fury. Passion & betrayal. I am the essence of her, whispered from the womb of her tomb. The ash birthed a creature even death couldn't condemn.

This has been an ongoing joke with a lot of people I used to know. Them calling me the "wicked witch" as some form of insult. So, today I wanted to make her come to life. Dress myself up as the very words and make her my own! I think me and the wicked witch have a lot in common.

Hello ladies and gents, 

Today I will be reviewing all 5 of my lovely Color Club Nail Polishes

Before I get to the swatching, I want to first say how thankful I am for this opportunity to test and review these!

I am HUGE on nail art, I absolutely love the creative aspect of it. I love the subtle AND I love the dramatic. I simply love it all. These will be going straight into my collection and into the creation of some future nails for myself to wear and display. Every little bit will be used, I promise ya! hahaa

First thing I noticed was the bag all my polishes shipped in. I'm pretty rightly obsessed with anything and everything Holographic (or color shifting, etc!) So, when I seen the bag glimmering at me--I knew, right then and there, that I was probably (most definitely!) going to be using mine as a clutch purse for my everyday wear! hahahaa

Packaging secured and nothing broke during transit. Can't stress enough the importance of not having a nail polish bottle bust open all over the place. lmfao

Now that the packaging is out of the way, let's get into the showcase and review.

This post is something I didn't want to make but felt compelled to for the sake of History and the history of my family. Something I could look back on, or to have people look back on, in the future for years to come. This is a part of history we will never get back again, as scary as it might seem--it's important to remember. 

☣️THE OUTBREAK TURNED PANDEMIC☣️

We seen this "X" a few days before the outbreak was confirmed. Makes ya think, doesn't it. Hmmm...

For those unaware I will try to sum it all down for you. (Presumably the people born much much later after this! Because everyone knows or has some knowledge of knowing what is happening today in terms of this tragic situation!) The Coronavirus (COVID-19) was known since January this year, or so records have shown on various different platforms. (Probably even sooner, since the "19" of "COVID-19" would suggest before this new year, am I right?) I could never explain the severity of this situation in my own words but I will try my best. You can look further into this by visiting a timeline of the overall spread HERE! As it spread, the virus became a global pandemic "reaching at least 177 countries and territories, killing more than 14,700 people and infecting more than 340,000, according to Johns Hopkins University."

A little into the New Year, I received this package from Cult Fragrance. 

In truth, I had no idea I was going to receive such a huge box of gifts!

I was blown away, I couldn't contain my happiness. 

I wish I would have been able to post about these sooner, but me and my whole family came down with a bad cold that wouldn't leave for such a long time. I didn't even want to get up to go to work, nothing. So, I couldn't get to post about these like I wanted to, a long time ago. I only started feeling a little better now, enough to get some of these posts posted. lol

Anyways, I spent some time looking at everything all over again. 

I am still in awe at the length Sonya went with all of these gifts. 

I can't stress how well she knew me and my brother--everything handpicked and selected!
So very impressed with her selections, everything was and still is perfect!

The fact she knew us better than we even knew ourselves? I was shocked!

This post is going to be dedicated towards my arts in the month of October
(and pretty much up until now~!)

I am working on a few more concepts, some that haven't even been outlined yet
but this post is solely for the ones I've finished (or close to)!

⭐The Progress⭐

I always like to make sure I snap a few images of my work in progress. It always amazes me to see how it can go from this simple outline to something entirely different.

Day one: Ring

Day 2: Mindless. Just a little Jack o' Lantern inspired piece~

As I was doing those daily prompts, I was also doodling for Cult Fragrance.
We ended up doing a Carnival perfume theme for Halloween~

My weapons of mass creation~

For prompt Day 14, I decided to sketch out my puppy. I think, if memory serves me right, the word was "Fantasy"

So, I made my pup into a Princess~ Like those old fashioned fantasy tales~

⭐THE ARTS⭐

I want to add that the majority of these were meant to be "quick draws" from a prompt I started in October. They listed for 31 days a word that had to be drawn on each and every day~ 

For instance, day 4 was the prompt "Bait" where we had to draw what instantly came to mind, with little to no thought backing behind it. Hence "Quick draw!" 

Some are amazing, some are "eh"...most are lacking a bit of detail. Like the hands. I hate some of my character's hands. But I couldn't spend too much time trying to "perfect" them since I'd have to do all of it, all over again, the next day. Also, if I was going to spend any amount of time on any one thing, it would be the color. For me, that is the most important. I couldn't care less about hands, in truth.

You catch my drift? lol Chaotic but so much fun~

Today I am finally getting my Halloween post...posted. lmfao
I could give you an assorted variety of reasons why I've been late to post this but truly,

it will not do anything but cause me to waste more of your precious time reading this darn thing. lmfao I think the best coarse of action would be to simply give you what you've come to see--Halloween tricks and treats~!

~SAMHAIN ON SOCIAL MEDIA~
On the day of Halloween, I took to the internet. I know that some people have a bittersweet relationship with social media (and the internet, in general) but I really do love it!! I love how it can connect like-minded people together from all over the globe. I also happen to love to see what other people do on such a glorious holiday such as this. From Google Search Engines to Facebook friend posts~ I love it all! Here are some of the highlights from the internet (as well as some stuff I did in the month of October, too!) If you don't follow me on any of my social networks then this will be new to you but if you do--let's rekindle that old Halloween feeling together~
